What to see in Palermo on foot in 3 days: an itinerary starting from SJ Amuri

The best way to discover Palermo is to stroll through its Baroque and Arab-Norman alleyways. Here's the perfect 3-day itinerary, designed for those staying in the heart of the historic center.
Day 1: The Arab-Norman heart and the historic markets
Start your day with your neighbor Massimo Theatre, less than 5 minutes walk from SJ Amuri. From there, walk along Via Maqueda to Four Canti and to the splendid Pretoria Square (known as the Square of Shame). Continue towards the majestic Palermo Cathedral and the Norman Palace with its Palatine Chapel. For lunch, immerse yourself in the stalls of the market I will dance for an authentic street food experience.
Day 2: Baroque, sea, and the historic Vucciria market
Dedicate the morning to discovering the Church of San Domenico, located practically next to your apartment. From there, enter the market of Vucciria, which offers picturesque views during the day and transforms into the center of nightlife at night. Then walk towards the Cassaro (Corso Vittorio Emanuele) until you reach Marina Square to admire the giant ficus trees, and end the day with a relaxing walk in the Cala, the city's ancient port, perfect for an aperitif at sunset.
Day 3: Culture, shopping and the flavours of the past
Explore the neighborhood of Kalsa, the ancient Arab quarter, visiting the evocative church of Spasimo (roofless) and Palazzo Abatellis. In the afternoon, indulge in some shopping among the shops on Via Roma and Via Ruggero Settimo. Upon returning home, enjoy a moment of relaxation on the balcony of our vacation home before choosing where to dine.
